Simms StreamTread Soles

I finally broke down and tried the Rivershed boots with the StreamTread
soles. To be fair, I tried them for a week without the studs. With no studs,
they are GREAT on the dry rocks. However they really were not good on the moss
covered rocks. I slipped all over the place, and would not recommend them to
anyone without the studs. I just put the studs in, they are not that difficult
to install with a drill, took me longer to find the correct size driver.
So, I finally got a couple of days on the Rivershed Boots with the studs...
Wow, what a difference! It took me a couple tries to get a pattern that I liked
in the soles, but they work great! I wore them on some really mossy boulders and
they were better than the Studded felt boots I have. Two thumbs up.
