Rio Fluoroflex Shock Tippet Coil
Fluoroflex tippet material is made from 100% PVDF (polyvinylidenfluoride). This is not a nylon. Fluorocarbon has a refractory index closer to that of water. This means that fish have a very hard time seeing anything attached to your fly. Fluoroflex sinks quicker than nylon monofilament and is much more abrasion resistant than standard tippet. It cost a bit more, but we've found this is one more trick for those hard to hook big boys that's worth the investment.
